The leading character is Darnell Jackson, a member of a deadly Chicago street gang who tries to escape his past and build a new future by accepting a football scholarship to a small rural Kentucky college.

1)Darnell finds it very hard to fit into the college
life and is afraid his peers will find out about his gang connection.
2) Darnell's mother sacrifices everything for him, and he tries to repay her, but fails.
3) Darnell has huge dreams about a future he may never be able to realize.
What can you tell us about the story in 3-5 sentences?
After surviving life in a violent Chicago street gang through his high school years, Darnell Jackson’s future appears promising. A football scholarship gives him the chance to escape the thug lifestyle. But will his gang allow him to leave unhindered?

I am a husband, father of a wonderful young woman with Down
syndrome, and a credit/finance manager for an HVOC distributor. I started
writing novels several years ago during a period of unemployment, and I
