The leading character is Darnell Jackson, a member of a deadly Chicago street gang who tries to escape his past and build a new future by accepting a football scholarship to a small rural Kentucky college. What's 3 things you want to share about each of the characters to named? 1)Darnell finds it very hard to fit into the college life and is afraid his peers will find out about his gang connection. 2) Darnell's mother sacrifices everything for him, and he tries to repay her, but fails. 3) Darnell has huge dreams about a future he may never be able to realize. What can you tell us about the story in 3-5 sentences? After surviving life in a violent Chicago street gang through his high school years, Darnell Jackson’s future appears promising. The story starts with an event that happens in the year 1990, but then jumps forward twelve years and takes place in 2002. What's the names of the leading characters: Abigail Hooper and Stephen Sparks What's 3 things you want to share about each of the characters named? Abigail is married and newly pregnant. She holds a lot inside and buries her feelings deep. Although she struggles with her career and an unexpected pregnancy, she's most afraid to confront a past which continues to haunt her. Stephen's had a hard life and his grief often prevents him from doing what's right. Despite his troubles, love and friendship are what holds him together. Surviving Emily is full of heartbreak and loss but ultimately hope, it is a compelling story that explores the meaning of everlasting friendship and the healing power of love. How's it end ? Charles was raised to believe women serve only one purpose and need to be trained to do it properly. Penelope learns she has physical desires and Charles learns he doesn't have to be the man he was taught to be. What can you tell us about the story in 3-5 sentences? When Charles first sees Penelope he desires her so he takes her. Deep into the woods outside of the town of Paradise. There he will begin to teach her what it means to be a woman with desires as well to be desired. Penelope teaches her man a thing or two about the relationship between two people that he never knew. Chase seems to think so, as long as they ignore each other, play by his strict 'business only' policy and he makes Libby hate him. Libby thinks so, too, but she wants to do things her way.
