What's the title? “The Percussionist’s Wife: A Memoir of Sex, Crime & Betrayal” What's the genre? Memoir/True Crime What's the setting? Most of the action takes place in St. Cloud, Minnesota, during 2001-2006. What are the names of your leading characters? Monica: That’s me, the percussionist’s wife. Steve: The percussionist who gets caught marching to the beat of a different drummer, so to speak -- an 18-year-old girl on his drum line. Janna: The other woman or victim, depending on your perspective. What are 3 things you want to share about each of the characters named? Monica is a workaholic who trusts too much and has a difficult time of knowing when to call it quits. Steve is the musically talented but flawed anti-hero, a narcissist who can’t accept blame. Janna may be conniving or she simply may be an immature target. The reader gets to see her through the detective investigating the illicit affair. What can you tell us about the story in 3-5 sentences? Woman marries drummer. Drummer cheats on her repeatedly, usually with his students. Woman stands by him through police investigation, jail and fallout from his indiscretions until a lover finally opens her eyes to the sham her marriage has become. *** "The Percussionist's Wife: A Memoir of Sex, Crime & Betrayal"Subscribe to my blog at http://mindfulmonica.wordpress.com/ for the latest developments So tells us where can we buy your book(s). Clickago Storywerks Telling your story in photos & wordshttp://clickago.wordpress.com/ OK. Guys and gals time to share and click on a link. Thank you so much, for easing on in today. Hope you enjoyed your minute with ..What's This...the one minute blog. Ellie Grant came for a visit. So, I had to ask her. ' What's This?' What’s the title? ‘Palm Trees in the Pyrenees’ What’s the genre? I write crime stories. What’s the setting? This particular book, like the rest of the ‘Death in the Pyrenees’ series, is set in a small French town in the Eastern Pyrenees. What are the names of your leading characters? My main character is Danielle. Her best friend, Patricia also features heavily in the books. What are 3 things you want to share about each of the characters? Danielle is a downtrodden, thirty-something policewoman. Her character progresses and grows throughout the book and indeed her life story progresses throughout the whole series. Patricia is her best friend and she is a lesbian who’s had a difficult past. What can you tell us about the story in three to five sentences? The book opens with the death of a much hated local businessman. Was it accident, suicide or murder and who was involved? The story is mainly about the ex-pat community and prejudice. It gives a real feel of life in the small town and the wider community. The answers remain a mystery to the very last page. This is what she added about herself. Hi, my name is Elly Grant and I like to kill people. I use a variety of methods. Some I drop from a great height, others I drown, but I’ve nothing against suffocation, poisoning or simply battering a person to death. As long as it grabs my reader’s attention, I’m satisfied. Lisa's opinion.. better stay on her good side. ('"I’ve nothing against suffocation, poisoning ...."') What do you think? Ring Fenced by Zach Abrams What's the genre? It doesn't neatly fit into a genre. Roughly it's a CRIME novel but it's really more a story about power, control and obsession showing how it's used and abused. What's the setting? The primary location is the greater London area with some of the peripheral plot taking place in Glasgow and California. What's the names of your leading characters? The central character is Benjamin Short who also uses the names Ben, Benjie Bennie and Jamie. Supporting characters are his wife Natasha, his mother Hanna Shroot and his business partner Marvin What's 3 things you want to share about each of the characters to named? Benjamin (in his various roles) is rich, powerful, intelligent and self obsessed Natasha is a content wife and mother. Hanna is a typical elderly Jewish mother yearning for more contact with her son. Marvin is a technically brilliant IT specialist, he is kind and honest. What can you tell us about the story in 3-5 sentences? My book tells the story of Benjanin Short in his various incarnations. Benjamin is a very complex character and compartmentalises his life to an extreme. His life is split into five different characters, each living under a variation of his name and the people in each of these lives have little or no knowledge of the others. The one common thread weaving each of his lives together is his obsession for music. How's it end ? Oops... don't answer that. How's is not a What's question. I guess to learn more about the story and how it ends your readers need to buy the book. So tells us where can we buy your book(s)...........
