Lisa Day on the Web
Lisa Day - Writer of Historical Romances
Pick up your favorite book and take a seat we've been waiting for you and there are plenty of benches as you can see.
Hi, I am Lisa Day.
Ok, Welcome to my site, so come on in and learn a tad more about
me. I was born on an early Tuesday morn...What you don't care about that. Mmmm.
Ok.You won't hear from me..”I always wanted to be a writer since I was six years old and wrote my first story in blue crayons.” Blue might be my favorite color, but I hated school and disliked English classes. So much so, in junior high school I almost had my love of reading destroyed by a pompous English literature teacher.
Excuse me while a pour myself a glass of wine. It helps you know. Helps what? Who cares? Oh, oops I mean the old ticker. I read once about wine being good for the blood too. A glass of wine is nice. Mmmm.
Ok, yes more about me. I lived the northern USA for years and froze my---off .Now I live in the southern USA. and I am a lot happier. Short winter- long Springs and long Falls. Good weather. Mmmm.
Ok, I started writing a little over four years ago. Everyone thinks they can write. Ha! Not true. It turned out to be a whole lot harder than I thought. I now hear that often from many writers. So, I know isn't just me. I just had nothing else to do. All right I had nothing else I cared to do.
When the writing bug bites you, you'll know. You can't stop. I really mean... You can't stop. It takes over your whole being. Every free second you think about how, when, what, and where your story is going and your characters are doing or saying. TV what TV? Dinner what dinner? Picky family still expects three meals a day. They will eat Spam and Mac-n-cheese only so many times a week. I know I tried. And since when are cute little bunnies a bad think. Dust or otherwise.
Well, The writing bug bit me and you get to read the results. I may not be the next super author rushing to fame, but
I think you'll be entertained for a little while, and to me that's just dandy.
So, Sit and Listen to the crinkling and crunching of the fallen Autumn leaves stretched across the path. The breeze still warm from the summer, but a hint of crispness tells you the seasons are changing.
With each new word you read you slip deeper and deeper into the tale you hold in your hands and you let yourself be carried away to a new place. Enjoy the thrill of reading!
