Lisa Day... Through Lisa's Eyes... A review of:Through Lisa's Eye looks at Kit Morgan's book, and the first thing I thought of when I saw the cover of His Prairie Princess was its simplicity followed immediately by its purity. His Prairie Princess manages to fulfill both expectations admirably. Ms. Kit Morgan starts us right in the middle of Sadie Jones' dilemma tied to a chair. One she recklessly brought upon herself being a strong willed female. Sadie needs a hero and fortunately for her there's one hiding under the cabin's porch. Harrison Cooke our hero does come to the rescue. Sadie, however is on a mission and the tiny town of Clear Creek doesn't seem to be able to prevent Sadie from finding herself in need of a hero again. There is no stopping Harrison from coming to his princess's rescue even if he feels less than adequate to reach out and claim her. Here's some good advice from the town's Doctor on courting: Doc saw the determined gleam in his eye. “That’s it boy! Go get her! Don’t let those fancy manners you MA beat into you spoil a good thing! She’ll be more of a mind to let you court her if she knows how you feel!” “Court her? What happened to staking a claim?” “All women want to be courted at least a week before they get married out here.” A week might be right in courting, but I wouldn't wait that long before you try His Prairie Princess by Kit Morgan. An entertaining story that will keep your interest without offending anyone. Little information about Kit Morgan: Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, was written for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the whackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell! If you like Kit Morgan's books then you might also like the Time Master Book series written under Geralyn Beauchamp and can be found on amazon. My favorites are the American and Western Frontier. That's why I dabble in it and why so much of what I share is in the genre. Y'all have a great day and please share the site with a cowgirl, cowboy, bandit, or any gambler that crosses your way..

BECOMING BERTHA: Not another advice book. Well sort of, but I bet you'll read this one all the way to the end and then frown when there are no more pages. I know I did. Self-reflection of our own lives can be at times a hard pill to swallow. Especially, if you try to take it while laughing at Bertha's antics. Jane Carroll can stand tall for she has mastered the putting all the 'maybes' aside. So, I thought until “Becoming Bertha” book 2 was released. Reading this BECOMING BERTHA from Jane Carroll she lets us see more of herself and through Bertha's eyes. Where book one gave us Bertha through Ms. Jane's eye. Both directions give the reader the information to revisit and ponder the why and way we all do things. I gave up black stockings after “Bertha-Size Your Life.” Now, after Becoming Bertha and the chapter 'The truth about casseroles' my friends and I eat dinner out, when we get together. Why chance it? A fun read with a hint of poignancy. Cynthia Dendy artwork brings Bertha to life...5 stars for her too. Here's where to get your own copy... http://www.amazon.com/Becoming-Bertha-ebook/dp/B00DT7V8NO And if your hooked here's where to get a dose or two more of Jane ..errr I mean Bertha.
